Adam O Mr. Sexy Dance

"Adam O " Wine and Dip Unplugged

This week our feature artist is non other than Adam O "Mr. Sexy Dance." He was born on the beautiful island of St.Kitts and began his journey in Virgin Gorda. He then migrated to St. Croix, where he completed his junior high and high school years before heading to them Marines. We learned alot about Adam he spent 10 years in the Marines then decided to come back home and focus on his passion for music. He actually owns the brand we all know as Cool Breeze Band, and owns the band. Adam O first began music at a really young age singing in church, then started as the lead singer for a boy band known as Cool Breeze Band, then he went on to pursuing his solo act. Where he has hit songs known as Sexy Dance, Sugar Daddy and Wine and Dip.Although it came as a surprise to be "The people choice winner." He is very grateful and very humble that he was chosen. He loves his fans and everything he does is a dedication to them. An artist would be nothing without their fans. They're his reason for getting on stage and always giving his all during his performances. The songs Wine and Dip, and Sexy Dance were inspired by the club scene on St. Croix, it soon became a phenomenon. People call him the Virgin Islands Chris Brown and to him that is such an honor considering how huge Chris Brown is. His energy when performing is always at 100% and he gives nothing less than. Sitting down with Adam O, we learned he's a very humble and very down to earth person. We don't know what the future holds but we hope for much success with this artist.

Wine and Dip unplugged was a phenomenal event, it was properly organized, entertaining and fun.We finally witnessed the story behind wine and dip and tonight we found out what it's all about. The atmosphere was filled with only love, positive vibes, and support for these hard working artists. Adam O was the headliner of the show, he opened the show a little something different than usual. He was later joined on stage by Monea who brought her own style to the set. This was an event we have never experienced in the Virgin Islands before, we need more events highlighting our artists. We need more music video release parties, showcasing these talented artists. Adam O, Swanks and Monea did an awesome job this evening, these three talented individuals are definitely changing the game. The attendees all looked stunning as they showed their support for the guest of honor for the evening "Adam O." There aren't words to describe how incredible and precise this event has been. Harbor Night 2019

Adam O "The People's Choice"

Fun fact, Did you know that Harbor Night began 10 years ago in the town of Fredriksted. The concept was basically the same as it was today, there were guests from the ship in the streets of Fredriksted along with locals from St. Croix. Both locals and the ships guests filled the streets of Frediksted. There were various food vendors, jewelry vendors, and more. The live performances were absolutely spectacular. The CJM Steel pan were first with amazing performances, jamming to the latest songs. We had Seanise Jeffers and Sweet Noise giving us some nice soulful music, followed by Chris Klein and the Boulevards a band from New Orleans. Gyasi Clarke a local artist graced the stage with his amazing voice, then the talented Moko Jumbies (Guardians of Culture) danced their way through the crowd. We Deh Yah Dancers gave a fantastic performance with music by Stanley and the Ten Sleepless Knights. The event began at 4pm sharp with vendors giving a lesson on what they had to offer for the masses. The food was amazing, there were sugar canes and coconut water, rum made from breadfruit, and everything in between. It's everything to love about St.Croix, Harbor Night is really a block party filled with positive atmosphere and entertainment on every corner. This is just what we need to drive our tourism industry to the next level. The environment was so peaceful and positive, it was a learning experience for everyone who didn't know the history behind this event. In the end it left all of us hungry for more. Adam O "The People's Choice" closed the show with his famous hit Sexy Dance and Wine and Dip backed by a live band. Overall this was a perfect evening and a great way to end a show stopping evening. We hope to experience this in the near future. Special thanks to KDM Productions and The Dept of Tourism.

Teen Beach Jam

A Team Promotions has hosted another Beach Jam, but this time it was the teens turn to "tun up", let loose and have some fun. A new band by the name of Vybe Band was introduced to the general public today they performed first on the line up. Their energy on stage was very enjoyable, doing what they love and having fun doing it, that's the best thing. The next Band to hit the stage was non other than Instylez Band, they were definitely a crowd favorite, they had quite the crowd and the engagement it was absolutely astonishing. The atmosphere was relaxing, the teens were having nice, clean fun, as for the artists they really enjoy what they do. The last band to hit the stage is Hypa Aktiv Crew, there energy is out of this world, they have been doing this for some time now and their fans really show love for them. They're amazing performers , in some sense they remind us of the veteran local bands we have here on St. Croix. Support the teens, you don't have to be dancing side to side with them, but there are other ways of showing support. Share their music, speak about their style, show them the same love that you show to the seasoned artists. They are doing something positive in the community so showing some support wouldn't hurt.

Adult’s Parade 2018-2019

The annual Crucian Christmas festival Adult's Parade concluded the festival season for this year. Although there is an extra day at the festival village for those who just wants a last lap, sadly the festival season has ended. There were about 5 to 6 troupes on the road this year and although it wasnt as many entrees, the troupes came out to represent. One of the biggest troupe with three bands backing them up was none other than Simply Sophisticated Fun Troupe, with their newest addition Simply Savage. They had 600 and counting members for this year's festivities. The parade was filled with so many beautiful colors and beautiful women, and so much culture. Other troupes such as LockHart and associates, and Regal Dynasty were also in attendance and well. None of this wouldn't be possible without the bands of course, Big Band, Daddy Jones, Poizon Band, BDJ, Shaw HP, Monea, Adam O, Bugz bugs. Without these bands none of this wouldn't be possible. They gave unbelievable performances.

Were you at Jouvert yesterday, were you watching from home whatever you were doing you definitely missed out. Jouvert 2019 was one of the best jouvert we've ever had on St. Croix. There was powder, rum, water and more. There were 3 different jouvert troupes present Island Vybez jouvert troupe, Jouvert Junction troupe and Splash jouvert troupe. Island Vybez of course had the biggest troupe and they were also they first troupe to start the party. We also had a few celebrities among us such as Timo, Versse Simmonds, Monea, Adam O, Swanks, Bugz bugs, Sasso (Poizon Band). If you hadn't seen a friend in a minute then this was the perfect time to see them.So much butts in the road, everyone looked absolutely amazing in their shirts and body suits. At most it was a very peaceful event. Asa Bantan was also in attendance giving the promoter stress as usual, there also was a mini jam on the beach which was a success. Each jouvert troupe came with their unique style, the members of the troupes were very impressed. They provided breakfast, free alcohol, and different props to make the jouvert more enjoyable. Dominicans and Lucian Takeover

Whether you were watching from your laptop and phone screens or actually there in person looking from the crowd. You missed a good time, awesome performances by Motto, Teddyson John, Freezy, Triple Kay, and Asa Bantan. These amazing performances doesn't need a long introduction, they are household names in the Caribbean and probably world wide. Motto, Teddyson John, and Freezy are local St. Lucian singers with their music spreading worldwide. Triple Kay and Asa Bantan are local artist from Dominica and are also well known in the Caribbean and worldwide. They took over the festival village last evening. Our expectations were definitely met with these artists. Fusion Band a local band of St. Croix backed up most of the artists and did an amazing job with these the performers. If you haven't heard any of their songs what are you waiting for type in their names on YouTube and see what the hype is all about. There was a mix of Bouyon and Soca on that stage last evening. The Dominicans and St. Lucians definitely stood together and supported these artists after all they are sister islands. There was powder, there was water, there was napkins and just good vibes with the two islands partying side by side. Unity is what it is all about at the end of the day in music not just aboard but locally in our little island of St. Croix. Although I am a native of Dominica I have lived on St. Croix for most of my life. I love all different types of music and that's how it's supposed to be. Different people loves different music, nevertheless it doesn't hurt extend and open up to different types of music. In other news Asa Bantan will be on the road for jouvert morning so look out for him, and do something crazy.

Silent Sunrise Party

Have you ever fetted till morning I mean like almost 6am in the morning, because at this sunrise party that's exactly what happened. From the moment you walked through the doors and placed the headphones on you stepped into a different world. The annual Silent Party hosted by A Team Promotions and Silent Jump off was a success to say the least. The event holds up to it's reputation of being the most 'lit" silent party to be held.A Team promotions are the original founders of the silent party. Their first silent party was held about a year or two years. They instantly started a trend because other people started their own silent parties based on them. There were 3 stations, Red Station which played Soca, Reggae and Calypso. The blue station which played dance hall, Latin, Hip hop and R&B. The green station played the best of 80's and 90's throw backs. If you weren't at this party where were you, because you definitely missed out. Every station was absolutely show stopping with hits after hits. The crowd was in tune and singing along to every VI hit that was played. The excitement of this event couldn't be contained, the atmosphere was absolutely astonishing. This was one of the best events of the carnival season and do you want to know why first of all it was sold out, secondly the stations stayed on point all night long, and thirdly it was a safe and enjoyable environment. You would instantly lose yourself in a station and forgot that you had headphones on. When the headphones came off you could hear other attendees singing along with their favorite stations. If weren't sure which station to tune in to, when you gazed into the crowd you would know based on the color which appeared the most. The red station took over for most of the evening, followed by the blue station and green station in between. Chad Pringle hats goes of to you, the event was extraordinary everyone would love to know when the next silent party will be held. For those of you who doesn't know Mr. Pringle is the founder of A Team Promotions, which has been a major success with all of their events on St. Croix. Not only is the atmosphere safe but it's always good vibes at these events. Let's go into 2019 with that same positive energy, but let's make it better than it was this year.

Pumpa

So the second night of festival village, what did you guys think of the performances, did you like the performers, were you singing along to the famous hits of the local and international soca artist. BDJ a local band began the night with well known songs such as "Is me" and Only You." Due to the weather however their performance was cut short. They were followed by the one and only Pumpa who killed the stage with his performance, with hits like "ayayayi" who wouldn't like Pumpa's performance. He is one of the best performances St. Croix, even the Virgin Islands. He paves a way for the younger generation to follow his footsteps. Rain couldn't stop anything that was prepared for the village last evening. Pumpa then introduced Mr. Killa who is famous for singing the Rolly Polly song dedicated to the big girls, because he loves his plus size women and who wouldn't they're beautiful plumped women. He took over the stage with hit after hit, the crowd was singing, and jamming to every single thing. You can say the village was "lit" despite the terrible weather we've been having it was still a success. Before closing out the night Mr. Killa gave a very powerful message on appreciated our own local musicians and supporting them. If we want to see them grow we have to push and support their music, they can't grow if there isn't any audience to grow for. Mr. Killa ended his evening with a recap of his performance which can be found on "The Virgin Islands Consortium."

In attendance were Miss St. Croix 2018-2019, Ms.Rachelle Jn Baptiste, accompanied by the carnival prince and princess. No one knows the time and energy that goes into the performances the musicians give, hats off to all the entertainers. Although there was plenty rainfall that didn't stop the action, people jammed underneath the rain to all of the favorite hits of the season. The Virgin Islands Consortium held a back stage interview with the artists after their performances, with a former Ms. St. Croix Anumaat Davis Kahina. She did a phenomenal job, the interviews went very smoothly with. Each artists described how amazing their performances were. Special guest appearances by Marzville who closed the village out with his famous hits. I got a chance to speak to him and he seemed like a very sweet down to earth guy.
