Reggae Fest

Reggae Fest was last evening and if you missed it, you missed alot. It was a fun filled event, there were performances from local artists such as Junior P, China Black, Cherise King, Outta Limits Band, Ninja P, Ras Isiah, The Ay Ay Cultural Dancers, Coral Fire, and The Guardians of Culture Moko Jumbies. Kymani Marley was the main attraction of the night, this all came together in the most perfect way possible. The event was packed with eager reggae fans awaiting Kymani Marley's performance as well as some of our favorite local artists. The energy and vibe of the crowd was amazing. This performance was something different simply because that boat you see in the picture is where the performances occurred. Now tell me what is better than seeing someone sing some place different. We need more unique venues, more places to showcase all of our artists. Music fuels the soul and reggae music does that for the fans. Ky-Mani Marley is a Jamaican Reggae and Hip Hop artist. He is one of 11 children and the son of Bob Marley, the deceased Reggae legend. This was held at Shupe's on the boardwalk, in Christiansted. Congrats to Shupe's on a job well done on hosting this event and we're looking forward to seeing more events.
