Local Creator West Gyul was manifested in Christmas of 2018 and later became a reality in March of 2020. Although we're not clear who runs this growing business, the one thing we know is that they've been doing an amazing job showcasing other creators, the culture and more. West Gyul has always been proud of the area they were raised in. Frederiksted needed a light shined on it. They always wanted people to focus on the information given and not the individuals giving it. Hence the name Anonymous West Gyul. West Gyul saw their generation and the lack of knowledge of their history and culture and wanted to be able to bridge the gap between the past and the present. Their brand is based of teaching others about the history and culture and what better way than to display different historical symbols. Anonymous West Gyul believes to appreciate your present you must know the past and do better for the future. So historical symbols fit in perfectly for that belief. Also if you look around our islands in 2021. It is time we tapped into that strength and resiliency our ancestors left in our bloodlines. In life we're often faced with challenges especially when we're trying to build from the ground up, things weren't any different for these individuals. Getting the community to tune into two anonymous individuals. So many people messaged them about who they were. They still remained focused and said to the followers who believed in the cause will tune in and they did. They're grateful for their first set of followers who are still their biggest supporters. Their business has been like a beautiful blossoming Ginger Thomas. West Gyul has many visions and goals, they have so many but the main one that translates through all is to show Virgin Islanders that we're better together. People continue to question their reason behind remaining anonymous individuals that can't speak or the public can't see. Their answer remains simple, we want people to stay focused on the content and not the individuals behind the page. Its not about who we are and what we do in our everyday lives. The ambassadors were chosen for West Gyul, because they have close ties to each ambassador and felt as if they all embody then the most. Their love and pride for their culture, their strength and resiliency, the way they crave to assist and give back to the community that raised them. Each ambassador is currently on her own path, re-lighting the fires left behind from women who have walked it before, lighting the way permanently for those who will come after. Two individuals currently represent the brand anonymously of course. At the end of the day who is behind of this growing brand doesn't matter, what matters is the lessons we learn from them about our culture and history and the importance of coming together as a community.
