Theron Thomas Wins Songwriter of the Year at the Grammy Awards
Theron Thomas, a household name in the United States Virgin Islands has just secured his Grammy for Songwriter of the Year (Non-Classical) at last night's 66th annual Grammy Awards. Theron who hails from the United States Virgin Islands is no stranger at making successful hit music. He made history last night as the first person of color to win in that category and on Black History Month no less. During his acceptance speech, the artist acknowledged his father for believing in him at from the age of 9 that he was going to win a Grammy. Well he made well on that promise. Theron took the stage to thank his family, friends and loyal supporters. What really shocked the world was he accepted his speech in full Virgin Islands accent. Virgin Islands in this Muddaskunt, leh we go. Let me tell you that was one of the proudest moment for the people of the Virgin Islands. Fit check, passed with flying colors as his chainscomplimented his Grammy. Congratulations to Theron on your Grammy win, and we know with his talent and dedication they're more awards to come in his future.
