Yaadie's Table: A Chef's Table Experience Review

In what can only be described as a very tasty evening Yaadie's Table: A Chef's Table Experience didn't disappoint. 5 to 6 courses were served during the evening. Before the attendees were seated, Chef Ashley demonstrated a live show cooking pasta with freshly mixed herbs. The first dish on the menu was the Ackee Croquette with Roasted Red Pepper Coulis topped with what we believe to be basil. For the second course we were served some delicious Smoked Pumpkin Soup. This was followed by Snapper Escovietch, although I'm not to keen on fish so I had the chicken instead. Which was placed on top of some mouth watering mashed plantains. The Carambola Sorbet with Watermelon Mint Salad was an absolute treat. St. Croix Wine Cellar provided probably some of their finest wines for the occasion. We had an amazing time between the live band and our interaction with a few of the attended guests. Chef Ashley and her staff deserves all of the praises for a job well done. When someone has a love or passion for something you can really tell through their craft. I felt the love behind of every meal. I'm an absolute foodie, and when you're a foodie every little detail counts, the food touches your soul. I fell in absolute love with the Chef's cooking that evening. Here are a few things you should know about the chef: Ashley is a Chef and a yaadie living in St. Croix (A Jamaican living in St. Croix USVI). From one beautiful island to another. I love life and food. My style of cooking is fresh from the soul. Meaning using fresh ingredients always to produce my dishes and cooking with lots of love. I am also a very capable baker, who runs a part time home based bakery business. I love the sea as it gives me a sense of calmness and outdoors are is big thing. My praises goes to the Most High God always, as he has blessed me with my many talents. ~Direct Quote from Chef's Website~
