St. Thomas Carnival 2026

The 74th Annual St. Thomas Carnival held in the U.S. Virgin Islands will take place from April 26–May 2. The festivities include family-friendly and signature competitions throughout the season. Events to note:

  • Easter Children’s Fun Day-April 5th

  • Princess Show — April 11 at the University of the Virgin Islands, show starts at 6:00 p.m.

  • Queen Show — April 18th also begins at 6:00 p.m.; arriving early is recommended, show starts at 6pm

  • Hospital Show- April 20th they’ll be a hospital show at the Hospital Parking lot at 6p.m

  • Carnival Village kicks of on April 24th with the Jr Calypso/Cultural Event starts at 7pm

  • Calypso Monarch-April 25th, show starts at 8p.m at on the Carnival village grounds

  • Boat Race which has become a fan favorite during the carnival season will be held at the Waterfront April 26th at 11a.m.

  • Panorama which is enjoyed by everyone will also take place on April 26th at the carnival village at 6.p.m

  • Village Nights is scheduled to kick off from April 27th thru May 2nd, be sure to be there at 7.p.m.

  • Food Fair will be held at Crown Bay on April 29th and is set to begin at 10a.m

  • Jouvert Morning where the streets of the waterfront will be covered with paint, powder and water. Don’t oversleep and miss the entire morning, April 30th at 5:30a.m.

  • Just when you think the fun is over the children parade will contain various troupes from both islands displaying what they’ve been working on all year to present to the public. Don’t miss a chance to support the youngsters on May 1st at 10 am on the Main Street.

  • Adults Parade which indicates the carnival season is coming to an end will be on May 2nd on Main Street, 10.a.m.

  • St. Thomas Carnival will close out with a display of Fireworks, followed by first class performances by some of the greatest performances in the music industry.

Village Nights promise lively evenings that both visitors and locals look forward to most, featuring music, food, and local culture. Plan ahead, arrive early, make sure to have all of your outfits that will match with the different themes for each night.

  • Thursday April 30th (PNDRN, ARMANI, MALI DON, STEEL PULSE)
